Playing

How do I flag a mine?

Press and hold a tile, or tap FLAG in the bottom bar to arm flag mode and then tap tiles. GUESS places a question mark instead — a note to yourself that does not protect the tile from being dug.

What do the numbers mean?

A revealed number counts how many of that tile's neighbours hold a mine. Most tiles on the sphere have six neighbours; the twelve pentagons have five.

Can my first tap kill me?

No. Your first tile and all of its neighbours are always safe, so the opening move can never lose.

How does Infinite mode work?

It is a flat board rather than a sphere. Clear most of the tiles along one side and that side opens up, rolling the fog back to reveal new ground. There is no win condition — you are ranked on how much ground you clear. Your world is saved automatically.

Hearts

What are hearts for?

A heart takes back a fatal move. When you hit a mine the board pauses before it detonates, and you can spend a heart to rewind to just before that tap.

How do I get more?

You start with five. You earn one more each day, up to five. You can also watch a video ad for a free undo, or buy heart packs.

My hearts did not refill.

The daily heart arrives on a new calendar day on your device, not 24 hours after the last one. Changing your device clock will not produce extra hearts.

Purchases

I bought something and did not get it.

Open the store from the heart button on the menu and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still does not appear, email us with the date of purchase.

I removed ads but still see them.

Ads stop as soon as the purchase completes. If you reinstalled the app, tap Restore Purchases. If they persist, email us.

Refunds

All purchases go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Rankings

My score did not appear on the leaderboard.

You must be signed in to Game Center. Also note that a run where you spent a heart is recorded in your local statistics but is not submitted to the global leaderboard — a ranked board has to be played unaided.

Privacy and data
